Dear participants, we are thrilled to welcome you to Lyon for the IPAS25 conference. A city that has been a true revelation for me. During my first visit, I was struck by its natural beauty, nestled between majestic hills and traversed by the magnificent Rhône and Saône rivers. Lyon, a miracle that allowed me to fully appreciate the richness of its landscape and history. Thanks to Lyon 2 university, social activities are exceptional, including:

• A Gala Dinner offered by IPAS25 , designed to offer a convivial and relaxed atmosphere for conference participants, providing an excellent opportunity to connect with colleagues while enjoying the exceptional flavors of French cuisine.

• A walking tour of Old Lyon, a place where history and natural beauty intertwine. You’ll be captivated by the charming architecture and the stunning backdrop of the mountains and the river.
• An exclusive, personalized boat cruise, reserved solely for conference attendees, offered generously by University Lyon 2, offering stunning panoramic views of Lyon’s iconic buildings, museums, and natural landscapes.

Lyon is an open, generous city, and this is evident everywhere: in its museums, sculptures, buildings, and the stories that animate them. The architecture is diverse, blending modernity and tradition, but with a creativity that touches the heart and mind. That’s why we hope that this IPAS conference will be not only an enriching scientific experience but also a memorable social and cultural adventure. With participants from 36 countries, cultural diversity is a central focus, an invitation to discovery and exchange.

• Thanks to the University Lyon 2, this dream has become a reality, and we are pleased to offer you a rich socio-cultural program: The conference social event will kick off on January 9th with a Gala Dinner offered by the IPAS25 organizing committee to introduce us to the delicious French cuisine, perfectly combining health and taste.

• On the second day, the socio-cultural program will include a stroll through Old Lyon, where we can admire meticulously renovated ancient buildings that combine charm and splendor. Imagine trying to draw such a beautiful city plunging into a river, but you’ll never achieve the beauty of Old Lyon with its shadows along the Saône. This tour will be offered to all participants and will be friendly led by our colleagues and friends, members of the local organizing committee of Lyon2.

• And comes the last day, a Saturday. After working to close the conference, thanks to the generosity of Lyon 2, you’ll have a nice conference closure with a buffet offered to all participants after the award ceremony. Then comes a wonderful excursion. As cruise ships are not scheduled during January, Lyon 2 wanted to ensure participants wouldn’t leave Lyon without experiencing some of the magic of river cruises. Lyon 2 has generously ordered a personalized boat and organized a cruise for us to discover another dimension of the beauty of Lyon from the Rhône and Saône. You will share these magic moments only with IPAS25 participants, a special trip, totally offered by Lyon 2 university. Finally, we will visit the Musée des Confluences to discover the history of this marvelous city.
